Nanjing Metro Line 3 runs through Pukou District, Gulou District, Xuanwu District, Qinhuai District, Yuhua Tai District and Jiangning District. Starting from the northernmost point the Linchang Station, it spans across the Yangtze River and enters into the main city of Nanjing, then goes all the way towards the southernmost point Moling station. It weaves Jiangbei New Town, the main city and the Dongshan New Town together, with a total length of 44.83 km, including elevated line 2.4 km, underground line 42.4 km and 29 stations.
Nanjing Metro Line 3 goes through the city from north to south and crosses the Yangtze River; therefore, the construction difficulty is unprecedented in the history of subway construction in Nanjing. COMPTON has accumulated rich experience in many domestic subway projects and has been providing rationalized proposals to proprietors and construction units and receiving recognition from them.
Nanjing has won the bid of hosting the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games, so the Nanjing Subway Headquarters is now advancing the work in light of the goal of making the subway available before the 2014 Youth Olympic Games.
As the opening of the Youth Olympic draws near, construction progress and speed of delivery are accelerating. In order to better support the smooth development of the Nanjing Metro Line 3 project, COMPTON has stationed six design and technical personnel at the construction site to actively facilitate the subway construction with quicker response, faster delivery and quality and quantity assurance.
